Baby Daffodil Janes

This cutie pattern is a variation of the "Simply Adorable Baby Booties" pattern (found: HERE) that I posted a few weeks ago.  With summer on the way, these lightweight shoes will look fabulous with a variety of outfits.

I started mapping out this pattern while making more product for my consignment store "Little Treasures."  While the shoes were in the packaging process I had some ladies over to the house and they ended up buying three pairs!

Suffice to say, they are a popular item and more had to be made.

Making so many pairs gave me the opportunity to have fun looking for cute and unique buttons for the shoes.  I buy my buttons at the thrift store, dollar store, yard sales, misappropriate them from my mothers collection (shhh!), so I have a wonderfully odd assortment of unique buttons.

I even have a button jar, doesn't that sound so vintage!  . . . or would it be more antique??  Every crafty lady I know has a button jar, collection, box or drawer.  Perhaps its not really such an antiquated thing!!!  Do you keep a button collection?

For the shoes, matching buttons of approximately 1/2 inch in size will work beautifully.  I found myself drawn more to the hearts and flowers buttons for this project.

I designed the shoes originally to be a lovely daffodil yellow, doesn't yellow just holler spring?!

Below is the FREE pattern for the 0-3mon size bootie.   The paid version of the pattern also contains FOUR sizes!!  {0-3 (3-6, 6-9, 9-12) month!}
