Peeps, the Bunny

"Knit Peeps Bunny" was one of my early designs for this blog.  It was a quick, simple little knit that produced a cute little bunny that looked like, well obviously, a Peeps Bunny.  Red Mitten Designs is not affiliation with Peeps, I haven't even eaten a Peeps Bunny in years!  I just really like the "spring-like" pastel colourings of the fluffy, marshmallow-y treats!  They look so simple and minimalist-ic!

"Peeps, the Bunny" pattern has a substantial number of changes from the original.  Primarily, it's construction.  I always had a minor dislike of how the ears turned out.  And I especially disliked the fiddly, between the ears sew up.  Due to that, this pattern is a complete inversion of how the original was constructed, thereby making the ear sew up easier!  With Easter coming and custom orders for this little guy to be filled, the easier sew up saves lives!!

Simply Adorable Crochet Baby Booties

Just before Christmas I had an order for a pair of baby booties to be made from a concept photo only.  Baby booties are always so much fun to make and design, especially when they turn out simply adorable!
