The other day I was browsing the mall (and by "mall" I mean the virtual on-line variety) when I came across a headband that I thought looked absolutely lovely!!! And it would have be especially lovely if I wouldn't have had to pay the almost $40 price tag to get it. I will leave you to conjecture the store in question based on the title of the post!!!
Instead, I managed to make this headband for the grand total of FREE, thanks to the use of various stash yarn! If I had to purchase the yarn again, the ladies size headband would cost approximately $3
And it only took me a couple of hours (even including the million plus one interruptions from the children and husband alike!)
Once I made one for myself, I then made several to sell on consignment at my local store "Little Treasures Kid's Store." If you are a local, check them out!! A new batch of Red Mitten Designs items will be delivered late next month!
And NOW . . . .
On to the pattern!!!

Once again, thank you for choosing a Red Mitten Designs pattern! Enjoy!!
Are you supposed to knit row 20 and then rows 8 and 9 3 times each to finish?
ReplyDeleteHi! Yes, knit row 20 and then rows 8 & 9 three times each. Then knit a last row 8 and cast off. To finish, mattress stitch start and finish ends together.
DeleteHope that helps!! Happy creating :)

ReplyDeleteYour headband pattern is excellent--is it available as a pdf file that I could save to my computer should you decide to discontinue your online blog presence?
I am disappointed to see that it has not gotten more 'makes'...but I have a daughter of a friend who is VERY excited to get it and I wanted to thank you for posting such a nice, well-written pattern! (comment copied from my Ravelry message to you)
